HASANI PROGRAM
Hasani program contains Primary (Ia’dadiya), Secondary (Thanaviya), Higher Secondary (Thanaviya Ulya), Under Graduation (Aaliya) and Post Graduation (fadeela) level of education. The last two years of Masters’s degree are designed providing specialization in particular areas of studies. Currently, Islamic Academy runs three departments, namely- Department of Quran, Department of Hadith, and Department of Fiqh – which is open to all eligible students who complete their Bachelor’s Degree.
We have developed a unique curriculum for the Hasani program, relying on varied pedagogical approaches rooted in Islamic intellectual history and tradition. We designed our curriculum in a way which will help students to acquire advanced skills in reading and interpreting traditional Muslim texts along with understanding different notions of modern discourses.
Master’s Degree – Fadheela
Our Advanced Master of Arts degree in Islamic Studies is intended to provide students higher and deeper level access to the Islamic classical texts and Islamic tradition at an advanced level. The master’s degree is a two-year program that is prepared in a way that will make students well versed in Islamic theology, philosophy, law, and history. In addition, the master’s degree program seeks students to submit a thesis work compulsorily on the completion of the course. The coursework includes studies of Qur’an, Qur’anic commentaries, Hadiths (Swihah ul Sitha), Theology (Aqeeda), Shafi Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Islamic Philosophy, Comparative History of religions, Classical Arabic language and literature, Sufism and the History of Islam.
Bachelor’s Degree – Aaliya
Bachelor’s Degree course in our institution is developed aiming to mold a new generation of scholars having a primary understanding of reading, analyzing, and interpreting classical Islamic texts. This program is basically an opening to the larger world of Islamic knowledge tradition. Along with classical Islamic texts, this course provides students an opportunity to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree either in English or Sociology. The course work includes Quran, Qur’anic commentaries, Hadith literature, Theology (Aqeeda), Shafi Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Islamic Philosophy, and the History of Islam.

Our Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary programs are different levels of schooling which include preliminary readings of various areas of studies. The course is set up in a way by which students can imbibe the basics of traditional Islamic texts along with preliminary schooling. The coursework includes the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Tajwid, Arabic Grammer (Nahv, Swarf), Islamic History, among others. We also equip students to be fluent in various languages apart from Malayalam like Arabic, English, Urdu, and Hindi.
Our Primary and Secondary schooling is designed in accordance with the terms and standards of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and our students attend the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) examination for the 10th class certificate and for the 12th class certificate they attend the examination by Kerala State Open School.
